Welcome to Pybus University, where learning is a lifelong adventure.

Pybus Public Market is pleased to offer a series of unique and fun classes for the general public. Classes are free, unless otherwise indicated below. Some classes have a limited number of attendees, so be sure to sign up early! The location of most classes will be in the Pybus LocalTel Event Room. Each class will last 60 to 90 minutes and will be a one night event. Classes are taught by local volunteers with an interest and aptitude in the subject. The public is invited to register for as many classes as you like.

To register, click the “Register Now” link next to the class listings. Once you receive the automated confirmation of enrollment, simply show up for the 7:00pm class at the designated date at Pybus Market. Classes start promptly at 7:00pm.

Thank you for your interest in Pybus University.

If you have any questions or concerns, please email pybusu@gmail.com.

PLEASE only register for classes you plan to attend. Double check your calendars. A significant number of people register and don’t show up. This creates extra work for our volunteer crew, and for capped classes means your friends are unable to attend. Please flag your registration email. If you can’t attend, let us know. Our speakers volunteer their time and expertise. Help us keep Pybus U classes free to the public, and a place where community meets!

Pybus Foundation is pleased to announce the fall lineup of Pybus University classes! Classes will be held on Tuesday nights at 7:00pm from October to December on unique topics for the general public. Classes are taught by local volunteers with an interest and aptitude in the subject. The public is invited to register for as many classes as they like. All classes are free and open to the public!

Pybus University classes are returning for the Fall of 2023 and will be hosted from 7pm to 8pm Tuesday evenings in the LocalTel event center at Pybus Public Market (unless otherwise indicated below). Any questions can be directed to the Pybus University Coordinator at pybusu@gmail.com.

Paper Flower Making

with Mary Charlie Designs

Class Title: Paper Flower Making With Mary Charlee Designs

Class Info: Join us in reusing paper materials to create your very own floral bouquet that will last forever. Local crafter, Mary Henson of Mary Charlee Designs, will be guiding participants through the process of cutting and putting together paper roses to create a beautiful bouquet to gift a loved one or keep for your home decor. We will be using a template and while we may not have time to complete a full dozen rose bouquet, you will walk away with all you need to finish a beautiful piece. Materials you can use include various colored papers (scrapbook paper is great just make sure it is not a heavy cardstock), old book pages, packaging paper, paper bags, old magazines, wrapping paper, or other regular paper weight items. Feel free to bring your own paper material for the roses, scissors and a hot glue gun if  you would like to use your own. Additional supplies for leaves and stems will be provided, as well as supplies to color the rose petals or add some additional elements to your bouquet.

Bio: Mary has always been a crafter, but realized her love for creating flowers when her sister asked her to create paper flowers from book pages for her wedding. In 2022, Mary started Mary Charlee Designs. She spends time in the valley selling her creations at various markets and teaching classes on how to create with items you might have laying around your home. You can find out more about her creations and learn about upcoming workshops on her instagram account @marycharleedesigns.
